The 16&U boys team travelled to Sydney in September for their National Championships. The team had to hit the ground running playing some top teams in the early rounds. The boys payed well in several key games and Team Manager, and WPSA Head Coach said “they have room to improve over the next 12 months with some focused training sessions in what is a talented age group”. The boys gained a great amount of experience on this trip and showed their learnings in the final winning the Plate Final 10-6. Well done Boys!

The 16&U girls team captained by Autumn Grooby and Holly Rate travelled to Hobart for the national club championship and showed the rest of the country that SA is a force to be reckoned with! The girls had an amazing week in the apple isle, with 4 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses! Making the Bowl Grand Final playing for 17th place, they sadly went down 2-3 after an amazing tussle with ACT. Most of the girls had not played in a grand final at nationals before so being able to play on the final day, live streamed back home to family and friends and having their names and cap numbers announced over the microphone was an incredible experience. The team they drew with earlier in the week, ended up playing for 9th position, proving that this team has big things to come! It was a great week, lots of fun and friendships made, well done girls, the whole state is proud of your efforts.
