Dear AYC Players/Parents,
The following information is important to you as WPSA prepares for the 2021 AYC – Brisbane in April 2021. Getting teams organised and ready continues to be ‘challenge’ for participants/parents/coaches/officials as well as WPSA.
Rising Stars Pty Ltd (a company that specialises in sports team travel) is coordinating the group bookings for travel/accommodation and transport.
Several parents are accompanying participants and have contacted WPSA for flight and additional details.
NOTE: WPA will make final Confirmation of AYC 2021 on 15th March. WPSA will then be required to pay deposits/full fares. Any arrangements made by individuals will be at their own risk.

Adelaide to Brisbane: Virgin VA1391 Mon 12th Apr (0910 hrs-1205 hrs)
Brisbane to Adelaide: Virgin VA1404 Sun 18th Apr (0950 hrs – 1205 hrs)
ACCOMMODATION:
GIRLS: Quest Eight Mile Plains, 1 Clunies Ross Court.
BOYS: Quest Cannon Hill, 390 Wynham Road.
AWL/AYC/LAUNCH TO LA CAMP & OTHER TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
A few players are attending multiple events and/or accompanying parents on holidays after the event/s. WPSA is coordinating these arrangements with the individual players/families involved.
MANAGERS:
Managers are required for AYC for the following Teams:
- 18&U Boys tbc
- 16&U Girls tbc
- 16&U Girls (Stealth) tbc
- 14&U Girls tbc
- 14&U Boys Rachel Maddern

UNIFORMS:
Due to the late confirmation of Teams, we have ‘missed’ the deadline to order uniforms through Delfina!
HOWEVER, WPSA has ordered swimwear (selection of sizes-thanks Paul!) and has uncovered a treasure trove of swimwear/uniforms in the SAALC storeroom. If you do not have last year’s swimwear/uniform or if the clothing does not fit, there might be an option. If you have spare clothing from last year…WPSA is interested! More on sizes etc shortly…
FINANCES:
WPSA will be invoicing participants shortly. Invoice will be estimate of flights/accommodation at this point. Additional costs will be invoiced later when the final costs are known. INTERSTATE COVID PROCEDURES
Travel requirements (including Border Declaration Passes) are on State Government websites including www.qld.gov.au & www.covid-19.sa.gov.au At this point in time (Mon 8th March 2021) there do not appear to be any requirements for border declaration passes or other documentation. This can change with only hours’ notice being given by State Governments.
It is the responsibility of individual participants to have the correct documentation should it be required.
PHOTO ID
Participants may require photo ID for flights. Photo ID in the form of passport, driver’s license or student ID should suffice.
