Water Polo SA will be sending 4 teams to compete in the National State Championships to be held between the 24th – 29th September.

  • 15&U and 17&U Girls will be travelling to Canberra on the 23rd and returning the 29th
  • 15&U and 17&U Boys will be travelling to Sydney on the 234d and returning the 29th

Team managers and Coaches are the only people with delegated authority from the WPSA board and will have the sole responsibility for the team and final say from the time of departure in Adelaide till the team lands back in Adelaide.

We are looking for team managers for the 15&U Boys, 17&U Boys and 17&U Girls teams.

The Team Manager  

  • Must have a current Working With Children Certificate
  • Provide a current drivers licence
  • will receive free accommodation and travel

ROLE OF TEAM MANAGER

In consultation with the coach and WPSA Competitions Officer will assist with

  • Check that players are registered
  • Collect relevant forms and information (Medical Forms, Acceptance Forms, Code of Conduct Form)
  • Liaise with players, parents and coach to ensure uniforms are ordered in time and assist with distribution on arrival
  • Confirm correct names and cap numbers for team sheet
  • Confirm room allocations for accommodation bookings
  •  advise parents re spending / food money
  • Be sure athletes are aware of the anti-doping requirements and have correct exemption forms in place
  • Ensure the parents and players have read and understand the Code Of Conduct and consequences for non=compliance
  • Arrange to pick up sports bag with caps/balls and first aid kit from Competitions Officer
  • Find out venue and time of coach/manager’s pre competition meeting, plan route from accommodation
  • Decide on meal plan and preparation/delivery methods
  • Assist Competitions Officer and Coach with other requirements as needed.
